Little Crackers were cracking the ice this week as the temperatures dropped.
We planned to make icy pictures and began by collecting natural bits and bobs and arranging them in plates. Then we poured water over them and left them outside overnight. We wondered what would happen and were all delighted to discover in the morning that our freezing plan had worked! The water didn’t pour out of the bucket – it was frozen solid, and our glacial, glassy pictures looked beautiful as we hung them up.
